OAKLAND UNIFIED HOOP CLUB

The Oakland Unified Hoop Club is a mixed-skills hoop community organized by UPLFTRS and the East Bay Athletic Club. OUBC members host The Run: North Oakland , a 20-player open gym at Oakland International High School. Open gyms are scheduled weekly every Saturday from 10am to 12pm.

BASKETBALL RUN RULES & REGULATIONS

GAME FORMAT

  • 5-on-5

  • Regular field goals = 1 point, beyond the arc = 2 points

  • First team to 8 points straight, Last game to 11 points

  • Winning team stays on.

  • Members have priority, drop-ins shoot to play.

FOULS AND VIOLATIONS

  • Players call their own fouls.  Saying "And-1" counts as calling "foul," however calling "foul" does not count as an "And-1" should the offensive player score on attempt.

  • Shoot to resolve disputed possession, e.g. jump ball.

  • Physical fights will result in suspension from OUBC.

MEMBERSHIP AND DROP-INS

  • Members are required to acknowledge attendance on TeamSnap 24 hours in advance prior to open gym.

  • Any open spots (Members can't attend or fail to use TeamSnap) will be made available to drop-ins.

  • Drop-ins will be notified, via email, 24 hours prior to open gym; spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Drop-ins will pay commissioner $5 via Venmo or cash day-of play.

  • Drop-ins that show up without notifying the commissioner are not guaranteed play time.
